Title
A substitute ordinance relating to the membership of the city youth council.

Analysis
Under this ordinance, children of elected city officials shall not be nominated to serve on the city youth council. In addition, members of the youth shall serve no more than 2 one year terms, either consecutively or non-consecutively.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 320-45-3 of the code is amended to read:
320-45. Youth Council.
3. SELECTION. The city clerk's office shall be responsible for recruitment of individuals to serve on the youth council. Nominations shall be submitted annually no later than October 1 to the common council for confirmation. No person shall be nominated who is >>a child, step-child, foster child or adopted child of an elected city official or<< scheduled to graduate before the end of the term for which he or she is being nominated.
Part 2. Section 320-45-4-e of the code is created to read:
4. TERM OF OFFICE.
e. A member shall serve no more than 2 terms, either consecutively or non-consecutively
